Haiku Park

lakeside on a July afternoon

 certain parchment farm
star of the day who will it be
 yon flowering tree

 in the baroque garden
butterflies and bees
drink from my eyes

 Solitude with sun
and bright sleepy flowers
 all our heads nodding

 the end of the road
in the rear view mirror
looks larger than life

the fountain ever flows
spanish children and parents
utter rapid fire

 on the stone fountain
chubby polo-striped twin boys
pose with fresh haircuts

swifts fly toward me
and over my shoulder
sea cold advances

time-space is one thing
earth's accommodation
irretrievable
