Winter Birds haiku

Why not share one's perceptions
in a few words if possible?

a tiny black bird
nesting in a black roof pipe
red sun in pine trees

the moon turned over
like a cornucopia
of nocturnal gulls

21 November 2015

countless ducks afloat
the winter estuary
glimpsed in bus window

sudden jet roaring
turn my head out the window
a chevron of geese

coots crowd the sidewalk
pedestrians keep walking
I yield right of way

never close enough
wait for it to resurface
little diving duck

Little diving duck
So frolicsome it makes me smile,
It does a joyous leap up before diving down
And staying underwater for a long time
