Sin City

Stephen

In the City owned and governed by gangsters
a mile away from the mass shooting
at Mandalay Bay,
Ben Paddock father of the shooter
was in a gun battle with Los Vegas
police that ended when  they shot
out the windows of his car
FBI described him as psychopathic
and suicidal,
when he was sent to prison
Stephen and three brothers
were told Ben had died
Stephen may have suspected otherwise
and resented not only his father's abandonment
but the deception involved,
Be escaped from prison
and led life under an assumed identity
Exhibiting an attitude
narcissistic superiority
he was captured when he applied for
a license to operate legal gambling,
he served his sentence then
returned to civilian life
without looking up his wife and sons

So Stephen fifty years later
breaks out his hotel window
to wage a one-sided gun battle
against the world
and its innocent bystanders
after he shrewdly lives a 64 year life
He takes his revenge

It's like a Hitchcockian
psychopathic backstory
cooked in the crock pot
of perfervid noir scriptwriters
