This impromptu ensemble were playing
as the judges judge the contestants
Forgot about this until I pulled into Berkeley and saw it going on
Old Time String Band contestants
All of whom I missed
Aside from the winning band
It was mercilessly sunny and hot today anyhoot
When Suzy Thompson announced the winner
I thought she said "The All White Band"
But they are the Earl White band
And Earl himself ain't all white or nothing
Seeking shelter in the library
I noticed a stunning new tapestry
