 Jumping Jack Flash

 I've never seen anyone inside
It seems to be more of a ritual interior
by nature

It's not a game

Played with toys

Well, not just a game

Today's Walk

Oakland reveals itself
What I witnessed today
Helicopters patrol
the castles burning

Know what the flags
with leaves and pumas
are all about now

Oakland's new Panthers

Native are restless
tribal tom-toms underneath
get it from the drum

A little ominous actually
an objective observer
might think

(These two image captures
are from the other night

Tendency
toward lawlessness
rationalizes authoritarian
response

Don't they know
we're in a time
of Biblical prophecy
of Mosaic Law?

USA's blood and treasure
must serve as a Golem

To protect our greatest ally
in the Holyland

Meanwhile
in Chinatown

Everything is
out in the open

Including
the kitchen sinks

 Chinese strategic thinking
is shedding sawdust

China just built
a massive railway
into Iran

Watch out
for sharp tails
the return momentum
of war-mongering

The tragedy of the commons
devoid of  the commoners

Central Post Office
part of a ghostly ambiance
in broad daylight

Institutions
that extend democratic
opportunity under slow
attritions

All our Cities
lie in dust
the Post office is being stolen
the Public schools starved

Wildlife will reclaim
our civic architecture
until they choke
on our exhaust

Sometimes trees
mistaken for dead
can come back to life

Interesting times
as shards of empire
come tumbling
around out ears

An inevitable
deconstruction
of toxic constructs

Bio-lucient
cinder blocks
The living world
hits a wall

Journey to the Center of Oakland's Mind (expanded consciousness)

One Sunday morning
in December
I found myself run out
of rolling papers
Fortunately I had
some Cannabis chocolate
The Day begins
in pervasive light

Over to the vicinity
of Latham square

The previous day
I had noticed a very strange
young man hereabouts
Cross-eyed mono-browed
werewolf hairline

He looked like a denizen
of the Isle of Doctor Moreau
a dog man sniffing out
hand-outs
He was here again today
and followed into the store
cajoling people for funding

The store had another door
on Telegraph,
and I discretely withdrew

Gothic Cathedral
flat-iron building

City under
Reconstruction

Oblique alleyway into
the Frankie O. plaza where
all the demos begin

The Rotunda
owned by the villain
trying to ram in a coal
terminal at the Port

Riotous illustrated art
in a niche gallery

Downtown becomes
Toontown

Darkness seems
to cover the earth

Mudra
Oakie Doakie

Brick wall
remnant of previous
civilization

Looking toward
City Hall

Refurbished
Latham Square

Eternity every moment

Not yet a skate park

Civic Centered

The Happiest
of Holidays

And to all
 a good afternoon

A guy sleeps under a
a great Oak tree
in Oakland center
Let it all hang out

I gave a nervous skinny kid
a sandwich,
He had a book of
his obsessive writings,
didn't encourage talk

Vast new mural
on Broadway
looks on impassively

Stay centered
in the center of town
in the center of your mind
