Easy BART Rider

The Flaneur has been taking the roulette route lately
Get there quick and comfortably
or plunge into uncertainty and dysphoria
Keeps things exciting

1.
Round trip

 Waiting on a Richmond train

On a superb quality blend
One enters a timeless zone
 A buddhistic emptiness pervades

 Train time, ba-by!

Berkeley, Berkeley

The clouds get squiggly with it

The Berkeley Post office was in danger
Of being swallowed by someone's ass

When I rides BART
I often get lost in the sky

The little BART train
Soldiers on

Things start to get complicated,
Approaching Oakland

16 February 2016

2.

On my walk to the BART station
I stop to smell the roses
and to salute the Flag

Good-bye, cruel world,
I'm going to Berkeley today

Here comes the tunnel

On BART you see a lot
Jelly mamas with smart phones

17 February 2016

Storm

paper floats upward
trailer truck blasts a long note
leaves stir like wee birds

midnight walk -- lightning
 thunder rolls toward the sea
no one else out side

Merkel as Viridiana

Let's see, on New Year's Eve a loosely organized group of desert rats drove off the ubermenchen of Cologne with firecrackers so they could molest and rob their frauleins.
Sargent Schultz of the Cologne constabulary saw nothing and reported that it had been a peaceful gathering.

Then of course the women's complaints were reported. Similar events, indicating a widespread plan for the rapine hi jinks it seems, had happened in quite a few places elsewhere.

In  the film Viridiana,  which the great Luis Bunuel made in Spain in 1961, a pious, idealistic nun inherits a large estate from her rotten uncle. She invites beggars onto the estate who waste little time before wrecking the place and attempting to rape her.

Chinese Presidents' Saint Valentine Day

Berkeley Library lobby vitrine

Spring is making it self known
Holidays fall away like pictorial calendar pages

If they try to claim the ocean
Send in the Marines

Bart station,
Eligible bachelor
Sensitive, digs animals

From a moving BART train window
The cloud was segmented like a shrimp
 or like  a feather

 Underground
As DEVO so aptly claimed
It's a beautiful world

 The trouble with appropriation branding

Subterranean lunch spot

 All in Old-ass Oakland

 Soup can curtains
Xs and Os

 I can't call myself a vegetarian
Because on occasion I buy
a chicken Cajun sausage here
Feels sinful to go in here
Like a XXX adult book shop

Restaurant next door
Sells oyster po-boys
And other delights

A garish race-car scene
A world endangered by oil and exhaust

Home to my own DIY Hitchcock film

In Spring's green imperative
Some cuttings I brought home
Produced leaves

Ice Ice Baby

On balmy Lincoln's birthdays
the Flaneur finds somewhere to cool his head

The every-day erotic uncanny.
pervades

Across the street from the flowering trees
Young cat drives his guitar in modal fashion

Berkeley Community Theater
Part of the high school complex where I saw shows by
Lou Reed, Joan Baez, Bo Diddley, Robert Plant,
and the first US appearance of  the legendary Clash,
Other historic concerts include Dylan and the Hawks
David Bowie's final local show in 2002 and
The Jimi Hendrix at Berkeley film concert
I even got a pranam from the Dali Lama at the stage door

The Magnes museum
Judaica... I've never visited...
Are Goyim welcome to convert?

Secular icons abound

The Gaia building
A colossal municipal art hornswoggle

Full of goddess baloney

There has been a Mexican restaurant here
Since the land belonged to Spain

This is the full-of-itself
Brower center
Hub of environmental do-gooder
hypocrisy

The lobbyist's lobby

This represents the Burroughsian centipede
At the heart of things
Swept under the rug

A ghost ship frozen on its voyage
Anywhere out of this world

The world of
Vanishing Ice

Pendulous icicles are like
Stalactites in a crevasse,
Back in the day
Ice caps, glaciers, rich cold seas,

Today it goes without mention,
An Armageddon of ice loss
Occurs as we speak

Surrealism at the end of days

The stylized olden days of humanity,
Fleshy earth paintings
A school I'd discovered in Canada's
Great White North

A putrescent garden
Decaying corpse of what once was

Human attempt to melt a glacier
using their collective body temperature

An inescapable conclusion
Forebodes

Let it come down

Meanwhile I while away my biological life
Embedded in flowering clover
Nourished on a diet of plants

Alive, outdoors, under the life-giving sky,
Nothing left but the recording
